More Than “Just Sound”- My Journey with Music

Growing up, there were times when I found myself completely lost in a song, the melody embracing me with a warm hug, and for those few minutes, nothing else mattered. It was then I realized how deeply music resonates with me, not just as sound, but as a source of comfort, expression, and even healing.

Music was and still is my constant companion. I'm the type of person who listens to music all the time (literally). At seven years old I already had two years worth of notebooks filled with artists' names, albums and songs. As a kid I was fearful I would forget my favorite songs, and MP3 players back then only had capacity for around 4000 songs. It wasn't a lot of space for seven year old me.

I needed to know and understand why music made me feel so good and why I needed it so bad. Little did I know this was the start of my passion and my outlet during times of stress and most importantly my main source of motivation. Whether I was navigating the ups and downs of life or just needing a moment of validation, music was always there to remind me of who I am and who I want to be.

Starting this blog felt like a natural step for me. I want to create a space where people can explore all genres or genres of their choice, elevating all talent and celebrating the art of music. This blog isn’t just a hobby; it’s my way of connecting with others, sparking conversations, sharing inspiring stories, and bridging the gap between artists and music lovers through online community. Music reminds us of our shared humanity, and I’m excited to explore that with all of you.
